Pre-Qualification Upgrade with Saudi Electric Company

On 10 March 2014, respective people from Saudi Electric Company visited our main office to make audits to qualify Al Baraka Construction Co. Ltd. as one of their main contractors.

The inspection covered Project QA and Site set-up for Quality Controls review of quality manual or site procedures, site organization, roles and responsibilities, technical support, method statements, risk assessments, Q plans, test and commissioning procedures, planning and performance of work including control of emergent work and plant modifications, management of sub-contractors, hold/witness points, records, reporting, compliance to contract (or specific work orders), case history, document control (drawings, specifications, procedures), control of purchased equipment or materials, incoming inspection, non-conformance and corrective action, self or internal audit, evidence of audits carried out, results, corrective actions, training, staff competence, qualifications, control of ‘special’ processes (e.g. welding, NDT, heat treatment), inspection, testing and commissioning (equipment, records/reports, status), calibration of measuring and test equipment, and handling, storage, identification and cleanliness.

Great deal of effort and preparation were dedicated for the success of this proposal. With the support from the management team – Mr. Salem Alharbi (Chairman), Mr. Faisal Alharbi (General Manager), Mr. Abdullah Alharbi (Project Manager), and Dr. Mohamed Mahyoub (Business Consultant), we hope that we would finally be recognized as one of the SEC’s main contractor.

Our team gave our very best to satisfy the auditors with all the available information. We all worked together for the success of this inspection. From office hygiene condition, proper introduction about site and office staff and personnel, all data and files, and extensive presentation to make all of this possible.
